What is this service?
A BOC-3 is a federal filing required by the FMCSA that designates a process agent in every state where your company operates. A process agent is a person or entity authorized to accept legal documents on behalf of your business. The Trucker Consultant assists motor carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders in completing this required filing.
Who needs it?
Any motor carrier, broker, or freight forwarder that applies for or maintains operating authority with the FMCSA must have a BOC-3 on file. This includes new carriers just starting out and existing businesses that may not have their process agent filing in place.
What happens if they do not file or comply?
Without a valid BOC-3 on file, the FMCSA will not grant or maintain your operating authority. Your MC number will not become active, and without an active authority, you cannot legally haul freight for hire across state lines. This can completely halt your ability to operate and generate revenue.
How much do you charge?
Our BOC-3 filing assistance is $89. Government fees are not included.
How fast can you complete it?
BOC-3 filings are typically processed within 1–2 business days of receiving your information.
